Welcome! I'm a writer of fiction and poetry, and the author of Tacet, a novel published by Guernica Editions.

I've lived in cities across Canada, but my 'hometown' is Vancouver, BC, located in the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. I live in Vancouver with my partner, two children and Aussie Shepherd.

My background is in theatre—I studied acting, directing and playwriting at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. I went on to work in a variety of sectors. I wrote scripts for the Vancouver Fringe Festival, White Rock Museum and Peace Arch Performing Arts Academy. I tutored English for five years, worked for a non-profit organization addressing violence against women, did manual labour, worked in corporate communications and held many restaurant jobs.
